AOL Instant Messenger alternatives
AIM was an instant messenger developed by AOL, and this messenger was known to use TOC and OSCAR protocol for its registered users to communicate with each other. Soon after its introduction, it gained worldwide popularity due to a revolution in the world of communication. This IM was considered the first to use a chatbot, and only then the purpose of instant messaging was fulfilled.
This bot receives an incoming message, just if you are not available at that moment, and reply with a default reply set to its back-end. The only reason for its fallback is due to its security vulnerabilities that many hackers have tried to send malicious content using this platform easily. As a replacement, several other platforms replaced this IM, like Facebook and Twitter.
