Blue Dragon is an Action-Adventure, Role-playing, Turn-based, and Single-player video game created by Artoon and published by Microsoft Games Studios. The game takes place in the fictional open-world environment. The story focuses on the five friends Jiro, Zola, Shu, Kluke, and Marumaro, as they travel around the world to confront Nene, the Grand Kingdom’s evil ruler. According to the gameplay, the player can control one of five characters and get into the game world who can explore the game’s vast environment with his friends, interact with the non-player characters, and battle with the various monsters using a turn-based combat system.
The game contains two major types of game areas, such as the town in which the player can rest and purchase an item and the second one is a dungeon where the player can battle with lots of powerful foes. Each character of the game has its own abilities and dragon powers which the player can use to defeat the enemies. During the gameplay, the player is also able to switch anytime between the other characters. The most exciting thing about the game is the combat system that allows the player to create combinations of the spell and defeat the powerful enemy boss in a single move.
