Don’t touch my tabs! is a browser extension that helps you avoid the tabs being opened by hyperlinks. It does so by the rel=noopener attribute and telling the content of the target tab that it can’t use the window of the current tab to open something else. The effect is that hyperlinks on the target page won’t be able to change tabs as they normally do when they are clicked.
The extension can be used to link the attributes after they have been created, so it also opens new options for link management; you can add it to your own links if you just want to keep them local. When you install the extension and visit any website that links to another web page via a hyperlink, the extension will modify the hyperlink so that when clicked, it will be opened in a new tab. In short, this is to prevent you from accidentally opening a link in an unintended tab and possibly losing context.
