Geomorph is a platform that comes as a height field generator and editor for Linux OS and allows users to get the right 2D and 3D projections of the landscapes. It enables users to process the 2D image with a tool such as Povray for rendering purposes. It comes in three languages, English, French, and German, and is a lightweight tool.
The platform allows users to open multiple documents in multiple windows, and they can get output in PNG files with different pixels. Users can use tools to generate height fields by the simple or repeated sum of an arbitrary surface.
Geomorph offers a fractal pen for drawing irregular surfaces, and users can use a pen for drawing strokes, craters, etc. It has undo and redo features, and users can control the display scale. Lastly, it has an OpenGL preview feature and comes with a tool for editing configuration files.
