Google Cloud Messaging alternatives
Google Cloud Messaging is a free source service that empowers the developers of a third-party application to send information, data, or notification from the server run by the developer that target application, extensions developed for Google Chrome internet browser, or Google Android Operating System. It is a provision that grasps the routing, distribution, and lining-up of messages between mobile client apps and server applications.
By using Google Cloud Messaging, the application server can send messages to a solitary device or a group of devices. The client app can use GCM to subscribe to downstream messages from the app server and it also helps the client app to send upstream messages back to the app server.
After consenting the application authorization to receive and display notifications, the client application sends a registration API request to the Google Cloud Messaging interface. The GCM service recognizes the demand and provides an ID to the developer for sending the notifications.
