SharpEye alternatives
SharpEye is a feature-rich Music Reader for Microsoft Windows that is designed to perform conversion of a scanned image of printed music into a MusicXML, MIDI, or NIFF file. It is highly useful for scanning from TWAIN-compatible scanners. The user will have no trouble learning how to use the solution as it is quite easy to figure out. Start by moving an image file into a window, tapping a button, and then giving it a few moments to complete the conversion.
It shows the output in the form of conventional music notation in a different window. Save the result in MIDI format with a single click. Sometimes the output may have a few errors, but there is no reason to worry as they can be corrected in the built-in editor. The editing can be easily done by using only the mouse and delete key. The input image window will position itself to the correct place in the image while you are editing. The program displays warnings whenever it catches a music bar not making musical sense. Lastly, it doesn’t perform well with handwritten music.
