Slick alternatives
Slick is a modern functional and relational mapping library for Scala that allows you to access and query like other Scala collections. Instead of SQL, it can write database queries in Scala thus providing safe type queries. It is the most famous library for database access in the Scala system.
The platform provides compile-time safety and the ability to link your queries. By default, it encourages an asynchronous and non-blocking programming style. In addition, it follows the Reactive Stream-based streaming APIs. It can write simple SQL queries and execute them just like any other Slick queries. It can also support most of the famous databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc.
The user-defined features of Slick include Scala Database Functions, Other Database Functions & stored procedures, Scalar Types, and Record Types.
