Star Ocean: The Last Hope was developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix. It is an Action-Adventure, Role-playing, Third-person Exploration, Combat, and Single-player video game. The Last Hope is the fourth major installment in the series of Star Ocean that introduces the new battle system and Sci-Fi elements. The game uses the same real-time combat system as its previous games, including the new Rush Gauge and Blindsides. The new Rush gauge system allows the player to perform a preemptive strike against the enemies or use his special abilities to defeat the enemies. Each character of the game utilizes their own individual Rush gauge.
The Blindsides feature allows the player to counterattack an enemy who is targeting the player. The game also introduces another exciting feature that allows the player to take on the ship’s captain and explore the massive space environment. The game contains more than five major planets where the player’s ship takes off and travels across the star ocean. During the exploration, the player can take a third-person view and move in the massive environment of the game freely, interact with the multiple objects and non-player characters, take the quest and try to complete them. Star Ocean: The Last Hope also offers an improved Private Action system which makes the game more enjoyable. The game offers enhanced game mechanics, fantastic game mechanics, and beautiful visual details.
