Tiled alternatives
Tiled is an open-source game-level editor tool that allows you to quickly create tilemaps for your game. It’s very easy to use. Simply select a tile from the tile palette and place it on the map by clicking the left mouse button. Another way to create a tilemap is by pasting images onto the canvas. Tiled supports all common image formats like PNG, JPG, and GIF but also more exotic ones like BMP or WMF. If you want to make a tilemap out of existing 3D objects, you can also import them into Tiled using the built-in importer.
It lets you create maps and levels of all kinds: video games, levels for your favorite game, forging maps, or worldbuilding. Tiled supports everything you need to do advanced-level editing, but it’s also very easy to use. It uses a non-proprietary file format, so you don’t need to learn a new file format just to edit your levels. It’s fast and highly customizable, allowing you to set up the interface just how you want it
