Wordnik alternatives
Wordnik is an online English dictionary and productive language platform that provides dictionary and thesaurus content, including some of the content that is based on print dictionaries such as the Century Dictionary, the American Heritage Dictionary, and WordNet. It has collected a corpus of billions of words which it uses to display example sentences, provides information on a much larger set of words than a typical dictionary with many real examples as possible when defining a word.
For multiple citations and references, the platform is integrated with Wiktionary, which is a web-based project to create a free content dictionary of terms in all-natural and artificial languages. It is a nonprofit organization, and its goal is to find and share as many words of English as possible with as many people as possible. The platform contains example sentences from major news media (such as the Wall Street Journal and USA Today) and books from Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive, as well as from other sources across the web like blogs. The users can find synonyms, hypernyms, superordinate, and words that are more generic or abstract than the given word with logged-in lists.
