YDL-UI alternatives
YDL-UI is an open-source tool that provides a simple way of downloading YouTube videos and watch them offline. The program lets you download the videos using YouTube-dl without the use of a command line. The way it is possible is by dynamically generating YouTube-dl argument queries that you can run with one click. The software is packed with an FFmpeg codec. YDL-UI is a very good option, allowing you to use the most popular YouTube-dl features from a versatile and user-friendly UI. The main functions and settings are all listed in the General tab for easy access, and the layout is not at all confusing.
You can choose the preferred resolution and frame rate, set up a file naming template, and use filters to determine which videos from a playlist should be downloaded. Additionally, the program provides access to some more advanced options supported by youtube-dl. For example, you can use a proxy, even if it requires authentication. Moreover, the download rate can also be restricted.
