Accellion alternatives
Accellion is a software company that provides services related to secure collaboration and file sharing to help different types of businesses. It is currently headquartered in California, USA, and was launched in the late ’90s in Singapore. It began working on file transfer projects in the early 21st century and launched a file transfer appliance a few years after the project began. The first device was a physical machine that decreased server load when transferring a big file. Later on, the company released an online file collaboration product that focused on security.
One of the best products was released in 2012 that allowed for file sharing among smartphones. What made it shine was its synchronization feature, named Kitedrive. By Jan 2015, the company came up with a new and much better file sharing product named “kiteworks,” through which users could easily edit their projects and files remotely and work along with services like Dropbox and Google Drive.
