andOTP alternatives
andOTP is an open-source 2-factor authentication app that lets you set up password protection via time-based one-time passwords. You can simply scan the QR code that has a six-digit code for directly accessing your login. The passwords are set in two ways. One is via Android KeyStore, and the other is via Pin or password. The app has a minimal UI design with a dark theme.
A highlighting feature of andOTP is multiple backup options, including plain text, password-protected backups, and OpenPGP-encrypted backups. It keeps your account information safe by storing your cryptographic keys in an enclave of the phone’s hardware. The hardware-based security is much more reliable than software-based, and that is where the andOTP gets an edge. All in all, andOTP is a great app that you can use to protect your backup keys.
