FireTray was a Linus and Windows extension that enabled the user to add custom icons, show the total number of unread emails, and many more features. The main functionality revolved around the applications available in the system tray. Users could open/close, reset, change the size or position of applications. It also catered to mail applications. Users were able to add email accounts, after which FireeTray would show unread messages, and whenever a new message was received, the icon would blink to let the user know about it. Furthermore, the email icon was fully customizable according to each person’s requirements.
