Ranger NCurses file manager with Vim bindings alternatives
Ranger is a curses file manager with Vim key bindings that provide a consistent command set independent of the underlying file systems. It also comes with 8-bit clean and efficient code. It can be used, for example, for FTP file management or as a command-line file manager. It is great for use in shell scripts or in Gnu Screen. See the manual for more information. It combines the efficiency of the command line with the ease of use of a GUI. Navigating through directories is as simple as in a GUI, but you are still able to use all the best and most powerful features of the command line, like search, filters, or copying files. The rich features are Multi-column display, Preview of the selected file/directory, Common file operations, Renaming multiple files at once, VIM-like console and hotkeys, Automatically determining file types, Changing the directory, Tabs, bookmarks, mouse support, and more to add.
