Samba is a free and open-source program that is the provider of file and printing services to SMB and CIFS-based clients. It is freely available and very different from most of the CIFs and SMB implementations because it permits its users with the option of interoperability between UNIX and Linux servers and even Windows-based clients as well.
Samba is a program that is capable of operating on almost all operating systems except Windows operating systems. The solution itself uses the IP and TCIP protocol that can be easily installed on the host server.
In a case of correct configuration, Samba permits the users to host even and interact with any Windows operating systems server or client and use it as a Windows print and file server.
