Serilog alternatives
Serilog is an analytical logging library that you can use for .NET applications. As the number of messages logged by an application grows, it becomes increasingly difficult to make sense of what happened in a particular instance. This is the tool instrumenting application code for logging and exposing that logging data for external replay and analysis, with minimal impact on application performance.
Serilog supports structured logging when writing to the console, file system, or other Windows event log listeners, plus JSON (de)serialization of logged messages, including subscriptions to those messages sent to an Azure Event Hub. It also supports rich exception handling via structured exception logging, with full support for nested exceptions, inner exceptions, and custom properties. The tool integrates well with MVC3 and MVC4 based applications. The project’s goal is to make logging as painless as possible while enabling powerful, rich diagnostic data.
