Sybase Replication Server alternatives
Sybase Replication Server is a database management service that allows you to replicate stored procedure invocations asynchronously between databases. This feature allows administrators to recreate the changes made to one SQL database on other databases without having to duplicate the data or content. The engine-only changes are sent from the source database to target databases rather than actually copying every row in a table.
The second important component of this engine is its ability to use triggers so as not to send unnecessary information across the network during replication. This allows for much quicker transferring of data between databases and the source and target databases. One important thing to note about this engine is that parameter values do not need to be passed by the target database during replication.
Sybase Replication Server works by starting a server off of a specified trusted connection, which is then broadcasted to all other Sybase servers running on which the trusted connection is available. This information includes what database name/syntax will be used, what set of tables will be distributed, and what sets of triggers will be used. All in all, Sybase Replication Server is a great service that you can consider among its alternatives.
