    In online multiplayer mode, up to 32 players engage in both cooperative and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting. It offers similar gameplay to the previous titles, in which the player can complete missions in linear scenarios with a set of objectives to advance through the story. In the beginning, the player can explore the first island, acquire tasks, and try to complete them all to unlock further islands.

    The player can use melee attacks, firearms, and explosives to defeat enemies and may run, jump, swim, or use different kinds of vehicles to explore the world. In each mission, the player can complete different objectives such as reach a specific location, use particular weapons, collect items, and defeat the enemy creature. During the gameplay, the player can heal himself using a set of techniques such as using medical kits and eating food.
