YAKD alternatives
Yakd is a key displayer utility that has been used in a variety of my applications. This simple application allows users to visually display key presses on their screens while doing things like screencast recording, on-screen debugging, and other applications that would sometimes make it difficult to see the happenings on their screen. YAKD runs in the background and keeps the pop-up window active and alive, even when the user has switched to other programs.
Keys can be shown as text as buttons, or as symbols. Each keypress can be configured to show up with a delay or instantly. It allows you to minimize the configuration window to the system tray and also have an option to adjust the opacity settings. All in all, it is easy to configure and display an overlay on top of the other applications’ windows. This function is normally used for things like moving, resizing, and closing windows, as well as other related functions besides just seeing key presses.
