PDFedit is an open-source editing tool for pdf scanning and a library for manipulating pdf documents, including a library based on xpdf, GUI, a set of command-line tools, and a pdf editor for Unix-like operating systems. The library is accessible by multiplatform library working on Unix systems, Windows32/64, and Windows CE, and others. The users can utilize it to read, change, and extract the information from a pdf file.
Additionally, the program includes a pdf editor whose graphical interface is based on QT3.x with all components implemented using scripting language. It can be used to modify the behavior by scripts and plugins. The program has been in beta state and includes an installer and all the required libraries with standard c++ redistributables. It is a low-level tool for technical users that allows structured access to the internal structure of the pdf file and familiarizes with pdf specifications to make substantial modifications.
